TestGorilla

TestGorilla is a hiring platform that combines candidate sourcing with skills assessments. It sells two products that can be bought separately or together: Gorilla Sourcing, which searches a pool of more than 900 million candidate profiles, and Gorilla Assessments, which tests candidates with skills tests, video questions and AI interviews.

The test library is organized by skill category. On its library page in October 2026, TestGorilla listed tests for cognitive ability, language, personality and culture, programming skills, role specific skills, situational judgment, software skills and typing speed. Examples include a Big 5 (OCEAN) personality test, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Abstract Reasoning and a Rapid Cognitive Index, most of them multiple choice and about 10 minutes long.

Pricing is published. On the pricing page in October 2026, Gorilla Assessments had a free plan with 10 credits a month, five essential tests with unlimited use and limited use of more than 180 others. Core started from $215 a month per account billed annually, with the full library of more than 350 tests, and Plus started from $520 a month per account billed annually, adding the full AI interview library and custom AI interviews. Gorilla Sourcing was priced per seat: free to browse, Core at $74 a month and Plus at $134 a month per seat, billed annually. Paying annually saves 25 percent compared with monthly billing, according to the page.

How it fits on TrueIQ: TestGorilla is the most self serve option in the psychometrics part of this category, since you can start free and see prices without a sales call. Criteria is the closest alternative for validated aptitude and personality testing. For engineering hiring, HackerRank and Codility focus on hands on coding work. Short timed tests are a screening signal, not a full picture of a candidate, so pair them with a structured interview.
